My name is Basia (BAH-shuh) Karpiel—I'm a Designer in Brooklyn, NYC and I believe that community, music, literature & art are four of the most powerful mediums for facilitating connections and enhancing perception.

My design process prioritizes collaboration and understanding. I create relevant, concept-driven, and research-based work that inspires interaction and discovery. 

Through my passion for projects and organizations that value social impact and community, I've had the privilege of serving on two AIGA boards (AIGA Connecticut and AIGA San Francisco), and working with influential graphic design firms Alexander Isley, CO:LAB Inc., and Taylor Design. Some recent clients include California College of Arts in San Francisco, Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and Davis Instruments.
